The file cabinets were taking over our office space and there was no end in site. We knew we needed to do something about the paper but the thought of having to change our process kept us from jumping into anything. The process we were using worked but the office space just wasn’t there anymore. Empire Document Imaging Inc. really took their time with us to teach and explain in detail. They customized their software to meet the way we file so the learning curve was minimal. We were up and scanning from two locations on our network the same day they installed the ScanFile solution. They are available to help us and walk us through any issue small or large with just one phone call. 
In January 2005 we decide to investigate and institute document imaging as a replacement for the traditional method doing business in our insurance agency, Sipos Insurance. We contacted Scott McBain of Empire Document Imaging (EDI) and advised what we wished to accomplish. Our immediate goal was to scan all our current customer files, which were a number of thousands, into a common data base that would be accessible by all work stations in the office. In addition we had accumulated 3 years of documents known in the insurance industry as transactional filing. We also had a rented storage space with 20 years of accumulated dead files. Our overall objective was to scan virtually all our current and past paper into one manageable system. The team at EDI designed a solution to fit our business. To date we have scanned in just under a million sheets of paper and love the fact that we do not need to leave our desks to retrieve customer information that would normally send us to the filing cabinets or storage boxes or remote locations. Virtually everything is retrievable instantly. An added benefit.. The data base is accessible from anywhere in the world through the internet. You can print, fax, or email any of the stored documents. These features save much time and money. This was unheard of prior to the installation of the system. Their knowledge of Document Imaging made our decision an easy one! The support provided by EDI is excellent. Thank you EDI. Mission Accomplished..
