ScanFile is a professional document management solution which provides simple and speedy index, storage and retrieval facilities for scanned and electronic format documents.
The design philosophy of ScanFile is ease of use - making all the functions required of a document management system readily available using a screen design that is intuitive. At the heart of ScanFile is the folder toolbox. All searching, scanning and editing can be carried out from the toolbox by selecting the option required and then using the displayed tools at the foot of the toolbox. Up to five index fields can be assigned for each folder, and this indexing can be enhanced by adding keywords to the folder. Multiple keywords can be assigned to each document, and the keyword search allows 'AND' or 'OR' searching.
All the tools necessary for viewing your documents are readily available. You can choose the document you wish to view from the HitList, which will be produced as a result of a search. Once the document is displayed, you can page through it, rotate and zoom the document by using the tools on the left of the ScanFile window. Up to 4 Image display windows can be opened at any one time, and these can be independent of the folder you are currently working in. You can also add annotations, such as a highlight, lines, or add a text annotation at any time. Within a folder - or even within a document, you can mix scanned pages, imported electronic format documents and COLD information, giving maximum flexibility to how you wish to store and relate your documentation.
